There are still spots open for Horizon's amazing Latinos In Action (LIA) leadership class taught by Mr. Bradshaw, 2024 LIA Utah Teacher of the Year. LIA is for ANY 8th or 9th grader. LIA is a leadership development class that empowers youth to lead and strengthen their communities through college and career readiness. We accomplish this by focusing on four pillars: leveraging personal and cultural assets, excelling in education, serving the community (tutoring once a week at Island View Elem.), and developing leadership skills. LIA students do not have to identify as Latino or speak Spanish to be part of the class.
Schedule changes are open through Wednesday, Aug. 13. Schedule change requests may be done by using this form.
