What a meaningful Veterans Day assembly at Doxey Elementary today!

Our incredible Student Council led the way with powerful speeches, and our students' voices filled the hall with beautiful, patriotic songs.

It was an honor to welcome and recognize the family service members who joined us. Our staff and their students gave a heartfelt tribute to these heroes.

A special thank you to our very own Doxey veterans, Zach and Kevan, for your service and for everything you do for our school community! We are grateful for all who have served.

Doxey's Multicultural Club is off to an amazing start! 🎉

Our first two meetings were a vibrant celebration of the diverse tapestry in our school. First, students designed personalized "Culture Suitcases" filled with traditional foods, music, and language samples, sparking lively connections. 💼

We followed that with an exhilarating Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! Students created colorful sugar skulls, learned to salsa dance in Spanish, and explored the traditions of over a dozen countries, sharing personal stories along the way. 🌎

With delicious treats like pupusas and queso fresco, and a look ahead to celebrating Native American Heritage Month, our journey to explore and appreciate the world's cultures is just getting started! Come join the fun!🐲
